Before we dive into our story, a little background to the word Doople in our name. Doople is a creative twist on the word “duple,” derived from the Latin duplus, meaning “double” or “two.” Our version refers to a bag with the purposes of carrying your belongings and dog waste (or “doo”) and a company focused on uniting convenience and function. The names Doople Bag and Doople Pet Products felt like natural choices—simple, memorable, and perfectly suited to our mission. They reflect the straightforward practicality and charm that define everything we create.

The abbreviated version is: dog owner walks dogs; bags rip; poo everywhere; disgusted dog owner vows to find a new way to transport dog waste. So the search began..

Back then, there were only a few options on the market, and none were ideal:

• A cumbersome bag that attached to a leash but was difficult to access with all its zippers, snaps, and clasps.
• A rebranded fanny pack—functional but off-putting, with dog waste stored uncomfortably close to the body.
• A purse, which was impractical for hiking trails or dog parks.
• A "lunch bag" design that carried waste discreetly but lacked room for essentials and required sacrificing a free hand.

Seeing the need for a better solution, she created the Doople Bag: a streamlined, practical, durable, and patented product that remains one of the best on the market.

Doople Pet Products (DPP for short) was founded in 2015 when this interior decorator turned inventor felt the bag design she created was it and decided to close her business to fully commit to this new convenience bag for dog walkers.

Our journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Doople Bag experienced starts and stops over the years, but in 2024, we made the decision to go all in. It’s been a year of growth, learning, and redirection, and now, as we enter 2025, we are clearer than ever about our mission.

Today, Doople Pet Products is no longer just a single-product business. We’ve grown into a company with three complementary ventures, all united by our commitment to quality, innovation, convenience, and function.
